Capability

Technology designed for the environment it has to run in.

Networks, systems and software that keep working through power interruptions, variable connectivity and staff turnover — specified, installed and supported by one team.

A system designed for a London office will not necessarily survive in a district facility with intermittent grid power and a single mobile data link. Kelverstone specifies technology for the real operating environment: power protection and solar back-up, offline-capable software, local data storage with synchronisation, and hardware that can be serviced in-country.

Where software is involved, Kelverstone favours open, well-supported platforms over proprietary lock-in, so that the client owns its data and can change supplier.

Accountable from requirement to operation.
